This article is about 200 words long, and will take about 1 to 2 minutes to read.
I just finished reading both books by Thomas J. Stanley, “The Millionaire Next Door” and “The Millionaire Mind” and I loved them. Unlike most business books which focus on telling the reader how to change and what to do, these books are more of a study of Millionaires in America.
He interviewed hundreds of millionaires throughout the country to see how they live, the financial decisions they make and the difference between real millionaires and people that are trying to live what they think is the “millionaire lifestyle”. Stanley’s first book really exposed the difference between what he calls the “income statement wealthy” (the people whose millionaire-status would probably dissolve with the lack of a paycheck) verses the “balance sheet affluent” (whose real net worth is in the millions with or without a paycheck). The differences between their thought-processes is enlightening. If you’re looking to inspire someone who may not have had the best grades in school, this book is full of stories of millionaires that have made their mark in the world despite being a C student.
These books are highly recommended:
