Qik.com

Qik.com

Qik.com is a new video site that let’s you post video quickly right from your cell phone to your own “channel”. While you’d think a site like this would be overrun by teenie-boppers posted every random drama event in their life, it’s actually more attune to attracting would-be global reporters and celebrities like Ashton Kutcher.

On the business side of things, Qik.com may actually become a much more useful tool than YouTube. The instant posting feature is akin to Twitter’s winning formula of instant news and feedback. Being the first one to the market may give you a boost with your subscribers. In fact, Qik.com lets you connect your Qik account with your Twitter account. Just imagine recording a quick interview with a great speaker at a conference and being the first to post it to your Qik and Twitter followers. There’s no need to go back to your laptop and upload. This is instant gratification!

The only downside may be that not all phones support the software, yet. But I see Qik.com quickly becoming a staple alongside Twitter for business owners with an “instant gratification” customer base.
